On 06th February 2014 Smiths Concrete Limited were granted Planning Permission by Warwickshire County Council (application: RBC/12CM018) for the ‘extraction of 900,000 tonnes of sand and gravel with restoration to agriculture and wet woodland utilising recovered materials’ from a site at Wolston Fields Farm, Wolston Lane, Wolston, Warwickshire
