Data Protection Regulations 2018
All village organisations / clubs / groups / societies etc. are reminded that the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) will be implemented into UK law as the ‘Data Protection Act 2018’ with effect from the 25th May. If you have a governance, supervisory, trustee or similar role in any organisation which stores any personal data, for whatever purpose, then this new legislation will affect you.
For information on the scope of the new legislation, and what you may need to do to comply, more information may be found on the ICO website.
Public Space Protection Order - Dogs
Rugby Borough Council have recently published a new Public Space Protection Order which sets out responsibilities of people with control of dogs in public places. Failure to comply could lead to a fine of £1000. Full details here.
