War Memorial Gardens

The war memorial gardens have been entered into the Rugby in Bloom competition again this year, and the theme is “Commemoration of the Centenary of the End of World War 1"

In addition to the planting described in the notice displayed, Parishoners will notice that union jack-style bunting has been strung around the Memorial stone. This is a temporary feature that will be removed once the judging has been carried out.

We are grateful to the ladies of the Baptist Church knitting group who have so kindly made the poppies that appear on the chain-link fencing surrounding the memorial. There is one poppy for each man from the village whose name appears on the memorial. Once again, this is a temporary feature that will be removed once judging has been carried out.
