***Kite flying in Dyers LaneThe Parish Council recently resolved to ban the use of 'power kites' on the Recreation Ground in Dyers Lane. This is based on advice produced by the British Power Kite Sports Association from which it is clear that the site is unsuitable for this purpose.

Monthly Meetings of the Parish Council usually take place on the first Thursday of each month. The normal venue for the meetings is Wolston Village Hall. The public session, to allow members of the public to raise matters of interest, starts at 7.15 p.m, and the Parish Council meeting then follows at 7.45 PM. Please note that the Wolston Parish Council Standing Orders apply to members of the public attending meetings, as well as to the Parish Council If a member of the public wishes to raise an issue, but can't attend the meeting, the Clerk will be happy to receive written notice of the issue and to ensure that it is raised at the appropriate time.
The clerk's office is at Wolston Leisure and Community Centre, and the Clerk would be happy to receive visitors at Parish Council office between 09.30 and 12.30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. However if your business is important it may be better to first check that the Clerk is in the office by calling 024 7654 5515.
