Thanks to everyone involved with the Two Saints Raft Race this year, 12th June 2010.
It was a great day with terrific entertainment, interesting rafts, and some very committed rafters.

Volunteers from the Co-op

Thanks

Earlier this year Peter Keyte, Manager of the Co-op in Wolston asked if there was a community project he and his staff could get involved in. At that time there was nothing, but Peter kept asking and in July it was planned that the
Co-op volunteers would paint the fence around the children's play area in Dyers Lane and possibly a fence at the Leisure and Community Centre.
Unfortunately it rained on the day the painting project was due to take place.
Undeterred, a new date was scheduled, and on 15th September District Manager, Malcolm Dixon, and 24 volunteers from a range of stores across the region descended on Wolston and threw themselves into painting the fences.

Thanks must go to our local Manager, Peter, for putting the project forward to his colleagues as something they could get involved with. Local staff - Valerie Keyte, Anthony Brannen, and Nick Gibbins all worked around their shifts to ensure that they could get involved.
Thanks must also go to Malcolm Dixon, Micheal Seaton, James Blount, Julie Mansell, Jenny Vipond, Nigel Whitehead, Leon Malpass, Steve Hughes, Louisa Waudby, Ian Freedman, Ian Wilkes, Mike Murphy, Hannah Lewis, Natalie Blount, Julie Grazley, Christine Harkins, Colette Murphy,Liz Darrall, Richard Grazeley and Grace Bosworth whose generous hard work has spruced up the play area amd leisure centre fence.

Thanks for making a real difference!
