Monthly Luncheon Club for Senior Citizens -  August 2010

Geoff and Stacey from Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary brought along some of the animals that they care for
to help explain the work they do at the Sanctuary. They take in anything from swans, foxes, badgers, owls, kestrels, ducks, hawks, hedgehogs, pheasants and many more. They also look after abandoned snakes, spiders and small domestic animals excluding cats and dogs (this is only due to limited space). They nurse the animals back to health and then try to ensure they are returned to the wild, if possible or found good "foster" homes.
They are a registered charity and rely on donations to keep up their good works.

The fox could not be released back into the wild so has turned to starring roles in demonstrations that Geoff and Stacey attend along with some television work.

Keith, the Leisure Centre's newest Trustee, is unfazed as he gets to grips with a Boa Constrictor.

Stacey circulates around the various groups to let them look at and stroke the delightful rescued Barn Owl.
